Cephalopods = the intellectuals of the deep.

Well, sorta.

It's not like they have abstract thought like humans, but they soitainly have some rudimentary form of reason that's more highly developed than most other organisms. A multicellular lifeform can't survive on instinct alone. If an octopus can build a shelter for itself out of its surroundings, that's evidence of some kind of logic.
