I research the military and its projects and all that stuff. I don't care where my tax dollars are going. I just wish I was rich.

Hey there... I so appreciate this beautifully important work -- thank you!

I've blogged about it with links here so hopefully you'll get some additional traffic/exposure from my relatively humble traffic flow.

Here's the direct link to my blog post, titled DeviantART: Death and Taxes

Really looking forward to the 2007 version -- you go! :-)

I thank you for making this handy visualisation. Very nice one! Nice to look at this, and wonder, what do they use money, what do I hope money to be used. And what's important to them, what's important to me?
Makes me wonder.
Thanks!

i think your diagrams deserve to be printed and distributed WIDELY!
when the 2007 version is ready i would like to request that truemajority.org include your site in their newsletter... among other links and paperbased forms of redistribution.

what are your policies about printing and distributing (for information/awareness without profit)??

I'm sorry, but that's an awfully misleading diagram - you excluded 2/3rds of the budget and then claim military spending is bigger than everything else?

I'd be interested in how people would react if they saw that military spending is dwarfed by the various assistance programs (medicaid, etc.) and that paying interest on the national debt dwarfs everything.

As the title suggests... its the DISCRETIONARY budget.... social security and medicare are entitlements and not paid for with federal taxes but with their own seperate funds... if you spent more than 5 seconds with this diagram you would know that...

but yeah... your just an obvioustroll.... and ignorant one at that...

No doubt.

And I'm sure you carefully explain to each and every person who views it that more than 50% of the actual budget isn't shown.

Actually, since you don't show actual spending you don't show how Congress and the President make a mockery of the whole process, either.
